Recycled glass jars filled with cranberries and small tea lights cast a warm glow to your table scapes. Fill the jar a third of the way full of cranberries and place a tea light on top. Make napkin rings from recycled cardboard tubes (cut into sections of 2 1/2 inches) and wrap with leftover fabric.
As part of your Thanksgiving decorating, place framed photos of lost loved ones on a side table. This will require a little advance planning on your part and will be a great conversation starter during the meal as you share favorite memories.
Give older decor, such as chipped ceramic turkeys or pumpkins, a quick face-lift. A can of brushed-metal or copper spray paint gives older items the new gilded flair.
Decorating with strands of white Christmas lights is not only inexpensive, but it also makes spaces seem warmer and more festive. No harm in getting out the Christmas decorations a little early!
