New Green Ideas
- Recycled glass jars filled with cranberries and small tea lights cast a warm glow to your table scapes. Fill the jar a third of the way full of cranberries and place a tea light on top. Make napkin rings from recycled cardboard tubes (cut into sections of 2 1/2 inches) and wrap with leftover fabric.
- As part of your Thanksgiving decorating, place framed photos of lost loved ones on a side table. This will require a little advance planning on your part and will be a great conversation starter during the meal as you share favorite memories.
- Give older decor, such as chipped ceramic turkeys or pumpkins, a quick face-lift. A can of brushed-metal or copper spray paint gives older items the new gilded flair.
- Decorating with strands of white Christmas lights is not only inexpensive, but it also makes spaces seem warmer and more festive. No harm in getting out the Christmas decorations a little early!
